In the new GiveEasy platform we have created a range of donation page templates for you to use and adapt to create your own page designs.
The templates developed have been made so that it is a simple and easy to create a beautiful donation page. In the future we will also have templated sections to allow this process of making your own page design even easier.
All templates have been set up so you can easily switch in your own imagery, text, colours and branding. So while each template has different colours and images used, the main difference between these templates is the layout of the page as well as the different elements used.
All templates include some standard image specs. These have been added as a guide to make things easier but you do not need to use these exact image specs. It is also important to note that these image specs have been suggested based on the content and layout of the template. If you change this layout around, add in extra elements, additional text, make the font size a lot larger/smaller, or take out elements than these image specs may no longer make sense. Instead the image specs may need to be longer or shorter.
Specifically, for the 'Donation Page - Vigour' template there are multiple image and suggested specs these are the following:
For all section background images, these extend the full width of the page and therefore will adjust in size with different screen sizes so we don't recommend you add text in any section background images. Instead, we recommend you place text on top of the background image using the text element like what has been done in this template. This will ensure any text in you image isn't off screen or hidden behind elements on different screen sizes.
Section background images can also be switched out for a colour background fill instead of an image. Or alternatively you can choose to delete this section, add in a new section with a banner image, move this to the top and use that instead. For mobile this template uses the same images used on desktop. If you wish to change the images used on the template then it's important to know the following:
- For section background images you can change these on mobile without this affecting your desktop design. This means you can change your section background image to specs that better suit mobile screen sizes (for example 525 x 260px).
- For image elements on the page, if you change these it will affect desktop. To avoid this from happening all you need to do is add a mobile image element to your mobile page design and then hide the desktop image from your mobile view.
Hot Tip: On this template, if you want your hero image to be better seen on mobile we recommend you add in a mobile image element to the top section of your mobile page design. Like seen below:
