In the new GiveEasy platform we have created a range of donation page templates for you to use and adapt to create your own page designs.
The templates developed have been made so that it is a simple and easy to create a beautiful donation page. In the future we will also have templated sections to allow this process of making your own page design even easier.
All templates have been set up so you can easily switch in your own imagery, text, colours and branding. So while each template has different colours and images used, the main difference between these templates is the layout of the page as well as the different elements used.
All templates include some standard image specs. These have been added as a guide to make things easier but you do not need to use these exact image specs. It is also important to note that these image specs have been suggested based on the content and layout of the template. If you change this layout around, add in extra elements, additional text, make the font size a lot larger/smaller, or take out elements than these image specs may no longer make sense. Instead the image specs may need to be longer or shorter.
Specifically, for the 'Donation Page - Informative' template there are multiple image and suggested specs these are the following:
It's important to note that banner images do work differently for section background images. This is because banner images will grow and shrink with different screen sizes and will never have the part of the image cut off like what can happen with a section background image. This means you can add text into the banner image like you have previously done with the old platform. However the downside to this is that no elements like text, donation form etc can be placed on top of a banner image like you can with a section background image.
On mobile it is important that you hide your desktop banner image and add in a mobile image element that has better specs for mobile. For this template we recommend your mobile banner image is 525 x 420px (like seen below). This will ensure your donors can still read the text on your mobile banner image.
