How To Add Personalised Dollar Handles To Your Page

Personalised dollar handles allow you to present warm donor with unique ask amounts on your donation form and page that help you maximise your donor's gift.

To add personalised dollar handles to your page, you need to:

1. Open the page editor on the page you wish to add personalised dollar handles to
2. Select the donation form and ensure you have dollar handles enabled within the donation form preferences draw. If you would also like to have personalised dollar handles outside of the donation form, just ensure the dollar handle element is added to your page. 

 

3. Save your page
4. Next you will need to create a file which has the following data columns: First Name, Last Name, Email, Ask 1, Ask 2, Ask 3, Ask 4 etc, as well as any other additional fields you would like to capture to make it easier to take this data back to your CRM (e.g. Donor ID/URN).
5. Add your donor data to the file
6. Save your file as password protected and email this file to [e-mail] and SMS the password for the file to 0413012349
7. GiveEasy will then provide you back the same file with an additional column listed with personalised URLS. These personalised URLs can be used in your EDMS, QR codes and SMSes.

The end result is that all donors who click their personalised URL (from EDM, SMS, mail pack QR codes) will then view a donation page that unique to them. This includes any populating any data into any merge tags you have on the page (e.g. first name) as well as presenting the donor with their unique dollar handles on both the donation form and in the dollar handle element on the page if you have this.
