To connect your Google Analytics to your GiveEasy account all you need to do is:
- Login to your GiveEasy account
- Navigate to your relevant campaign or create a new campaign. Under settings > campaign URLs copy the campaign URL
- Next, go to your Google Analytics account and navigate to the desired account and property. Go to Admin settings > Data Streams and create a new data data if you have not already. This ‘Stream URL’ needs to be set as your campaign URL.
To ensure the setup is working as intended please test the page through both the Google Analytics DebugView and the Tag Assistant applications. For more details around testing please refer to the official Google documentation here https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/ga4/set-up-ecommerce#verify-data
- Back in your GiveEasy account, navigate to ‘Account Settings’ > ‘Analytics Integrations’
- Under the Google Analytics section, add a new Google Analytics setting by entering your Measurement ID (which needs to start with G- e.g. G-XXXXX) and name. This will add the configuration to your charity account to be used across campaigns.
- Navigate back to the Campaigns page
- Find your relevant campaign you wish to add your GA4 tracking to and select ‘Settings’ > ‘Analytics Integrations’
- If Google Analytics is not enabled in the settings, you can enable it by toggling this on and selecting your relevant Google Analytics connection and clicking ‘Connect’
And then you are done. It may take a day or two for data to flow into your Google Analytics account.
